Sugar Skills Weekend 2024
March 2024 - Milnthorpe, Cumbria.
Our annual Sugar Skills Weekend was held once again in March at Crooklands. Students enjoyed learning how to create an Ikebana style arrangement and eye-catching Anthurium with Annemarie McNamara, and a delightful Bas Relief scene featuring a Green Woodpecker with Pat Smith.

Day of Demonstrations
July 2023 - Stockton on the Forest, York
We held another popular Day of Demonstrations featuring Ribana Cristescu who showed us ‘Palette Knife Painting’ with buttercream, and ‘Wafer Paper Decorations’.

Workshop in tribute to Nadene Hurst
May 2023 - Chain Lane Community Centre, Knaresborough
We organised a special royal icing Charity Workshop in tribute to Nadene Hurst who was a founder member at North West Branch, and widely recognised as the 'Queen of Royal Icing'.
The Sugar Collage technique enjoyed at the workshop was developed by Nadene and she published a book dedicated to the technique.
