Our popular annual Skills School Weekend returns to Crooklands for another inspiring weekend of creativity, learning, and friendship.
Join us for two full days of sugarcraft tuition in a relaxed and sociable residential setting, designed for enthusiasts looking to develop and refine their skills under expert guidance.
We are delighted to welcome Cecilia Young, a talented and experienced sugarcraft tutor and Area Coordinator for Caledonia BSG.
Throughout the weekend, students will learn a variety of modelling and floral techniques to create a beautifully weathered boot surrounded by exquisite spring flowers. The project will feature handcrafted Buttercups, Wood Anemones, and Violets, complemented by realistic seasonal foliage to create a delightful spring-themed display.

Our Skills School Weekend has been a much-loved annual event in the North of England since 2006, bringing together sugarcraft enthusiasts to learn, share ideas, develop new skills, and enjoy a memorable weekend in excellent company.
Places are strictly limited to ensure every participant receives the highest level of attention and support from our tutor.
Early booking is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.
Please note that attendees should already have a basic level of sugarcraft experience, as this course is intended for those wishing to further develop their existing skills.

Our SOLD OUT 2026 Sugarcraft Skills Weekend showcased the incredible talents of Cassie Brown! A celebrated sugarcraft author, airbrush artist, flower maker, tutor, judge, and designer, Cassie has been inspiring and teaching others for over three decades.
Over the weekend, we created a floral spray featuring cosmos, lisianthus, and forsythia flowers, paired with complementary foliage, while also learning new airbrushing techniques.
