Region 2 - North England: British Sugarcraft Guild is administered by 3 Regional Representatives who are all nominated members from within the Region:

Chairman:   Pat Smith (Hadrian Branch)

Secretary:   Ann Fitzgerald (Harrogate Branch)

Treasurer:   Norma Hedley (Durham Branch)

The Regional Representatives are responsible for organising and co-ordinating events within the Region and to provide help, support and guidance to the Branches & members.
A Regional Meeting is held twice each year in spring & autumn, where members from each Branch are invited along to discuss forthcoming events, share ideas and may get help on any arising problems.
A lunch is provided by the host branch and the meeting concludes with a short sugarcraft demonstration by one of the regions newer demonstrators.
Individual Members are very welcome to attend these meetings, contact us for details....
The next Region 2 Meeting is hosted by Malton Branch on Saturday 22nd September 2017

The Regional Representatives along with a committee of volunteer members are responsible for organising the Regional Exhibition: Sugarcraft North. We have held an exhibition every 2 years and have been hosted by the Pavilions of Harrogate since 2002, prior to that we had held exhibitions at York Racecourse.
We also held an annual Sugar Skills Weekend at Alston Hall for 10 years. Sadly now closed due to local authority cuts, our successful 2016 Skills School with tutors June Twelves and Ann Parker was held at Lancaster University.
